DIY Granola

You’re never going to be able to buy a boxed granola that’s as good as the home made version. Even the organic brands generally use cheap oils and sweeteners and much more of it then what’s in this recipe. Plus  they never have very much of the more expensive and nutrient dense ingredients like nuts or dried fruit so basically by making it at home you’re going to have a better tasting granola for cheaper then the boxed stuff- and nothing beats warm granola over yogurt or with almond milk!


3 cups rolled oats

1/2 cup almonds (slivered or roughly chop your own)

1/2 cup walnuts (roughly chopped)

1/2 cup shredded coconut

1/4 pure maple syrup

1/4 grapeseed oil 1 cup dried fruit

a dash of cinnamon

**Feel free to sub whatever your preference in nuts, I love walnuts because they go great with maple syrup)

1. Heat oven to 250 F.

2. Combine all ingrediants except the dried fruit.

3. Line 2 baking pans with parchment paper, and spread a thin layer of granola.

4. Bake for a 1:15 mins.

5. Stir frequently.

6. Transfer to air tight container.
